You should be able to add in extra grounds to see what it does, and it should not be a problem (as long as you stay on the ground circuit).
Since you have been looking at and testing the PCM.. With the PCM disconnected, you could try to Ohm out all connections to check for faulty wire or the connector itself.
How is the condition at the base of your Jeeps PDC, or relay boxes under the hood and inside of the Jeep? You could check beneath the relay bank and fuse boxes for any corrosion. Clean up the backsides of these, and check the connections here in these places may help...

NSS is tied into the ASD as well. I did not think to mention this, because you never said anything about it. How we know it does turn the crank etc... But, now we are pretty sure it has a fault in some way too.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!! after checking the pcm, I found the ground wire for the ckps and the o2 sensors was a brown and yellow wire out of the computer. I couldn't get a reading for it, so I grounded it to the battery and boom the fuel gauge went to normal. turned the key and vroom, fire right up and idles....I had put the old ckps that came with the jeep in and it works, but does have a an occasional miss..probly why it was replaced..lol..I will be ordering a replacement any way since the new one had the bracket broke off the sensor.
can I just leave it as is and run it or do I need to replace the computer?

this is my mind means the wire or connector to the PCM that supplies is earth faulty, not the PCM it self
one way to check is run a thin (5Amp) wire piggy back the brown & yellow from sensor plug to PCM slot

I will get others to confirm, but pretty sure the PCM earth is common to - battery terminal, as are all the other sensors earths, so providing earth via battery or frame will complete the circuit.

I'll give that a try in the morning, but put 16 miles on it today and even took it out in the woods hunting.....I am just glad it's running and moving thanks to all who have helped on this journey...truly appreciate it....not like when your boss says how they appreciate ya...I really do...lol

I am super happy to hear it came back alive. I had a feeling this Jeep was not quite ready for the grave yet.. This made my day! I liked your approach, and how you ended up finding the problem. It sounded like it was very methodically done from my perspective.

As you well know, there is still a problem somewhere. It has the potential to turn into a significant problem in the future. To stop now.. just because it is back up and running good again, this may result in future headaches that could be avoided. If you keep at it, and are able to find a more proper fix to put it back more like how it should be.. It seems wise to me.
I bet it felt good driving the Jeep around today!
(You can hook your remote starter back up again now too...)
