No start after quick shutoff... 99
So my Jeep has been notorious for slow cold starts (which I thought was normal) but now I've learned that if you don't let her sit for a few minutes before starting after you've shut her off, then something fails and gets stranded :\. It has happened before where I stopped off to pick up something from the store (less than 5 minutes), and when I tried to start the cranking was weak and soon halted. I waited another 10 minutes and she started up, but the first cranks were extremely weak as I turned the ignition. This time I wasn't so lucky.
I did the same thing but in a friend's neighborhood (thank goodness), and when I started I got nothing. Wait a few minutes then get the weak crank. Wait a few minutes more, weak crank still, but then becomes nothing. Wait an hour and then it just clicks. Lights, radio, keyfob lock/unlock all work. Replaced starter relay and cleaned battery contacts. Even while being jumpstarted, It still only clicks. Jumping the starter solenoid does not cause the starter to kick in. Also tried starting the jeep after shifting in neutral. Still clicks.
After searching, it is possible to be the NSS as it sounds similar to starting the vehicle when its in drive (tried it on a car at a dealership I worked at) or even the starter. Just want to know what you guys think.
This is my daily driver; any and all help is appreciated to get her back on the road :]

Okay, replaced the starter and now she cranks consistently but doesnt start. Checked plugs and they smell of gas. Tested a fresh plug to see if there was a spark but still getting nothing. What do you guys think?

We don't have a coil, but a distributor rather (unless we're calling the same item two different things). We unplugged #1 cylinder and checked for a spark but it isn't sparking at all. I was holding the wire + plug and mistakenly touched the body of the jeep and got shocked (So I can assume there is power going to the plug, right?). Next step is replacing the battery since ours is way over due so I'll post after thats been done.

You know the thing that the middle wire on the distributer goes to? Thats the coil. The distributer is the thing that all your plug wires go to. The coil is the thing that makes the spark, and it plugs into the center of the distributer
