No start and I need my car tommorow...
I was taking out a viper system the PO put in a few years ago that broke. I just finished with the harneses and everything and now my car will not start.... Anybody else have a problem like this? I dont have the manual to install it back in just so my car works. There had to be something I took out that was stock in the XJ that I thought was for the system. Its a 98 Classic. Thanks, Rob

lol!
Can you take a picture of everything you took out?
Does the engine spin and not start or does it not do anything?
Some of the Viper systems had the ignition kill feature.
To install it you had to cut the ignition wire and route it thru the alarm control box. That way if the alarm was tripped it would interrupt the ignition so that the car couldn't be started and stolen.
If you removed everything you'd have to splice that wire back together...
Now, you could have also blown a fuse, unplugged something, broke something... The possibilities are endless. I need more info.
What model is the alarm?

check everything that came in contact with your ignition wires.
Viper has a way to cut the power to the starter, also check that.
Did any part of the harness serve a purpose as a "filter" between two plugs?
