Default No start, kinda

So I had my jeep sitting since November, Started at least once a month while I did a lot of work to it.( front end work, floor pans) today I go to start it, and nothing, no click, no turnover, only the sound of the relay and fuel pump.. here's where it's weird. I have an aftermarket alarm/remote start, and I decided to see if it would start with the remote, and it DID. so what could be wrong if nothing happens from the ignition but it starts with the remote?? Thoughts and opinions much appreciated!

I think it should juice the 86 socket on the relay while turned to start...not positive there.

Again I'm not positive, but I think 87 is the green starter solonoid wire, 85 is grounded by the nss, and maybe 30 is always hot.

Check battery terminals, I once had a no start situation cause my terminals were so bad it would cut off all electric power right as I tried to start it.

C-mon Dave...if the starter would run any time the ign was on that would make sense. We are wondering if the start function of that multy position switch is the problem.

I wonder if the remote uses the same relay. If you find your starter relay and pull it, and the remote still starts it, the remote has it's own relay. Hopefully someone here knows more than me on that.

Ok, so I ripped the column apart... disconnected the plug from IGN switch... plugged it back in, turned the key, and it started right up.. bad connection... it's a jeep thing I guess.
