Pulled into a store the nest morning and as i did it threw some codes. Stating the battery had been disconnected in th elast 50 turn ons and the temp sesnor had failed to give signal. Tightened the connector on it.

I needed to trailer a couple bikes here. Oddly enough the trailer lights worked even though the battery wire coming form the circuit breaker had been cut.

The stock trailer conncetion had been buthcered by a previous owner. An afetr market one had been installed that used the taillight wires. I cleaned them up when i did the body work and put in new pig tails for the rear lights as theyd been getting soaked with watre and salt and all the bulbs were seized in them. Soldered the tailer wires as ineeded to use trailer in Sept.

I can understand the need for a cuircit breaker for the trailer as most have henly light connections. However I think its was causing the intermitent problems.

The park light fuse was melted. All shriveled but. It seems to me the old trailer cirucit was shorting to the park lights. The breaker acts fast than the fuse but not fast enough to prvent the circuit heating up. So it would cycle that on and off.Building up enough heat that wanst sufficent to blow the fuse initially. How ever was enough to blow the 40amp one in th engine bay. Probly a cheap 15 amp fuse in the parking lights with a +/- ???? amp tolerence.

The intermitemt problems were consitant with the ciruot breaker making the connection to the short then not. Id pull the relays and replug themin, undue to PCM or this or that. At times id not get the fuel pump running,park lights and the neg fuel guage. Then it would all seem fine. Ie pump not on, noparking lights, fuel guage working fine. No start as no power to fuel pump. back and forth.

Nt sur eif the pcms came to me bad or the short fried them. Due to the shock that they recived when broken its hard to tell.

The day the new one came in id picked one up from a wrecker that hadone on a shelf. I couuld og into pick apart as they dont let kids in and im asignle dad of a special needs kid that i cant leave in the car even though he is 10.

Made it through Japser at 4am and it runs a little rough(missing) but runs.

I have new sside window to put in and will yank that old trailer wiring out and bury it deep in hollowed ground.

Inconsitent is consitent iwth a faulty computer or a circuit breaker going on and off.

You live, you learn.....

Keeping the ecm from the wreckers(works) in my box with other emergency supplies.
