Default noise coming from the front end

i have a 01 xj 4x4 with 118000 miles driving at or above 25 mph i hear a slight humming noise similar to wheel bearings. my question is is it normal for a live axle jeep to make such noises? yes im sure its in 2wd

Could be your wheel hub assembly...although I generally think of that as more of a "thunk" than a "hum."

Yeah I would agree with this. If it's not tire noise then it's probably your hub bearings.
