I know this is a 242 case, but I've done the same with no noise on wet pavement at the same speeds numerous times.

Omfg I hate when people drive unreasonably slow in the snow. 25 is slow enough, I feel comfortable doing the speed limit or more in the snow, just have to slow down a lot and early for corners.

Here in SouthEast Tennessee when it starts to slightly flurry people drive 40mph in a 65mph on the interstate. The people around here are so soft about the weather that you start seeing people wear parkas when its 50F out.....

Ya, you get an inch and everyone stays home till it melts
Here, it's just another day.
Always have thought it ironic that the "Motor City" is on top of one of the largest salt deposites.

Jeep Cherokee np242 shift into full time 4wheel at 70mph - YouTube
I have a 242 and I shift into 4h at any speed. They aren't as temperamental as the 231

we have enough that I almost got hit by a snowplow that couldn't see above the snowbanks....Here's a pic (not mine. Credits to whoever is on the watermark) of the main drag of my area.... And we had school today (not the day of the pic but it snowed today too. even though literally over half of the students were late because so we're their buses. On a side note, yeah wind chills were supposed to be -10 to -20 Fahrenheit and yes, I'm wearing shorts, and no, I didn't park in my designated parking space today because nobody could see the lines. And yes, there was a front end loader driving around the parking lot cleaning snow to the tune of a thousand ice scrapers as we all got out of school and went to scraping our cars.

Portsmouth, NH? You're not to far from me. I'm in Milford, down by Nashua.
