when you say loaded do you mean with the weight of the jeep on them if so than i believe you were right i have always torqued mine with the weight on them instead of jacking the body to take the weight off

Yeah I meant with the weight of the truck on the springs. I tightened them without the weight on the springs simply because i already had it jacked up to install the shackles. They have quieted down a bit though since I ran down a couple very light trails, still annoying, but quieter.

I can't imagine how it could be the leafs themselves, they are RC 3" lift springs (not an add-a-leaf) and they are only 1.5-2 years old. And as far as the shocks go, I researched it a bit and RC's 3" lift shocks should still be long enough for a 4.5" lift, and they don't appear to be too short. They also seem to be in good working order as well. Also the noise seems to be coming from the shackles. I suppose I will try loosening them, then tightening them with the weight of the truck on the springs.

The front is still quite noisey too, and it actually is a bit more than a squeak. More of a SQUUUUONKKK when my suspension actually compresses (both sides compressing at once, not when articulating one side at a time). This leads me to believe it could be those darn poly bushings on my new trackbar. Has anyone had issues with aftermarket double shear trackbars (with the frame end drop brackets) making alot of noise? It fits in there so tight, and there is little room for grease on the axle end.

Also, I have considered the possibility that maybe if something is out of alignment that it could cause this. Like the control arm caster adjustment being off, or maybe even just that the trackbar is adjusted improperly. I'm fairly sure its nice and even, but could that also place extra torque on the bushings? Causing more squeakage..

if the track bar is out of adjustment even a hair it can put the front end in a bind which can cause the noise your hearing as far as the shackles check the torque again with the weight on but you will prob get the squeak until you replace the oe shackles with a shackle that's designed to be ran with a lift

I'm beginning to think this may be the issue. I lossened and retorqued the shackles with the weight of the Jeep on them and BAM! Squeaks in the rear are all but gone. No more noisey than it was stock, haha.

I guess I will have to get under there and make sure my trackbar is adjusted absolutely perfectly this weekend, I'm also going to grease the crap out of it's bushings again as well. I'm hoping this will get rid of the sound up front, as it is much more serious than a squeak, lol.
