Default Non-abs to abs

Ok need some help here. I am gutting my wrecked xj and putting everything into a donor. Mine was not ABS equipped, the donor is. Is the axle different? Or do I just need to get the wheel bearings and calipers for an abs system. I would prefer the path of least resistance, and I am hoping that I don't need a whole new front axle. If I just need to swap a few parts then I will. I don't really want to pull the brakes and lines off the wrecked one either because the lines were all pretty shot. Any input is appreciated!

The abs will have the Dana 35 rear, if you plan on offroading or putting bigger tires I would use the Chrysler 8.25 out of your other jeep and make it non abs.

Ok I may do that at some point, but what do I need to do to make my axle work with the ABS one? Or is it a different axle?

Only the Dana 35 will work with abs, swapping axles to get abs is more trouble than what it's worth, the abs sucks.

Ok you sold me. So what do I have to pull from my wrecked xj? Both axles I know, but do I have to pull all the lines too?

WAIT! What better time than now is it to replace the brake lines on the axle, while it's out? You only have the 2 cross-axle lines to replace and NiCu is so easy to work with.

NiCu???

They are both 2000. I may replace what is looking a little tired, but right now what I want to know is what has to come from the non abs to the abs Jeep to make it work and have no lights on, and have it converted to a non abs xj.

Nickel-Copper alloy. Also called NiCopp. It is the best thing to happen to automotive brakes since they were invented. Very easy to work with. Bending, flaring, all very nice and easy. Much easier than steel, light years easier than stainless steel, and more corrosion resistant than stainless steel.

Put the rear axle in it, unplug the fuse or relay for the abs and take the bulb out of the dash.
