Not getting in gear?

Not getting in gear?
Ok so this is a fairly new problem that's been going on for a month or so. Whether I'm in reverse or drive. If I'm at a roll and I press the gas it acts like its in neutral and then it revs and then catches and goes. It's almost like its a jolt once it catches. Any ideas?

I would start by posting specifics about your jeep and which transmission you have. I always like to start simple. Have you checked the fluid level?

How did you check the trans fluid? Trans warm? Neutral or Park? Engine running? What did the fluid look and smell like?
Try this: take off with the shifter in 1-2 instead of D. See if it still slips.
