Okay guys so heres the deal. I went to start my jeep, I got a click then nothing. No power to the stero or gages. So I hook up a battery charger to it, it read full power. I changed it anyways with the one from my Ranger, now all I get is repeated clicks. still no power to the stereo though, this battery is good I drove the Ranger to and from my jeep. Any ideas?

it's a bad starter relay, bad starter solenoid (or the starter itself), OR the most likely case is that you really really need to clean your contacts on both the battery side of the wires, and the starter/block side of the wires.

If u clear the starter, battery , and alternator, try starting it in neutral, if it works ur gonna need to clean or replace your neutral safety switch located on the bottom of the tranny. i recommend cleaning as they are about $180 but they are delicate so be careful

Mine did that when I put the battery back in after doing the tune up. Ended up not have a good connection on the positive terminal. Check to make sure u have good connections and everything is tight.

starter is cylinderical on the passenger side of the engine oil pan bolted to the transmission bellhousing (it's right in front of the bellhousing)

wire brush up the terminals on the battery wires. if they're the bolt-together terminals, take them apart and wire brush them.

+1... Sounds like you may have a terminal that's not sitting on the battery post as tight as it should. Try tightening or twisting your pos. + neg terminals.
