Np 231 t case nightmare
I was driving home yesterday and my t case began to grind. When I got under it today I noticed that the front driveshaft where it enters the t case seemed to be out of the case after I took the front driveshaft off I could move the front input shaft all around. Can this be fixed with a new bearing and seal. It lost all it's fluid so I was wondering should I fixed it or get a used one. Thanks

If there's no fluid and the front yoke moves all around while rear driveshaft is still attached, with the selector in gear, I think it would be safe to say the chain is off the sprocket and that u probably have a hole in the case.

I didn't see any holes in the case. It still engages it's just the front yoke moves forward and backwards like it's not attached to what ever holds it in place and the seal is toast
