np231 tc slips out in 4H ONLY, need help with diagnosis
i have a 92 cherokee with about 4.5in of lift and 33s. ive just started gettin everything put on the rig and ive been doin some light wheelin just to get a feel for everything. i noticed that whenever im in 4H and have to give it some real throttle my transfer case slips out, makes a bit of a grinding noise, and puts me in a false neutral. once this happens i have to shift the transmission into neutral, put the TC into 2 high, shift the transmission into drive, and then re-select 4H from there. There are no problems with 2H or 4 LOW. Would anyone know exactly what would be causing this?
