Default NP242 Binding

I'm getting binding over 30MPH on Full time, in reverse, and when I brake. I can go slowly forward, but as soon as my RPMs go up it binds. It binds in every other gear, too.

I just put new ATF in, it only took 1.5 quarts though. Started spilling out the plug (yes, top on) so I sealed her back up. Thought I'd see if it helped any. It shifts into the gear faster, but binds.

I've never taken a transfercase apart, and I won't have the chance to take this one apart until the 14th.

Does it sound like I need to rebuild it or..?

What do you mean "yes, top on"?

I read it as "top one" indicating he was on the fill plug and not the drain.

OP, have you pulled the front driveshaft and checked? What condition are the shaft and axle ujoints in?

The shafts and u-joints seemed good from an untrained eye. I have a Spicer front driveshaft apparently. Not sure if that's good or bad.

I'm very limited on auto repair experience, so I have no idea how to pull the front shaft. What should I be looking to after I pull it though?
