I guess I'd ask Cruiser....or TJ or Freedgr...I couldn't say. I generally trust whatever Napa sells. They might be a little higher up in quality than a "random" shot.. I just don't know.

I do know you test them by rapping on the block by it, then listen for a change of the engine sound. The ECU will retard the spark when it "hears" you knocken'.

OH, yes! I would use a JY knock sensor. (Not the CTS or 02 though)

I would trust it as long as it isn't busted off.

We're here to help you chase away those fear feeding boogie men that sit on your shoulder and whisper negative things into your ear.

Keep up the good work.

Don't forget to put the shrink tube on the wire before you solder it! For that I might even put a shorter small section, and a longer larger one for double layer shrink wrap. (slide up and heat the smaller first, then shrink the larger/longer over that). Well done!

So You suggest I solder the connections versus barrel splices?

Yes, splices underneath on something critical like that is a bad idea. It's an analog signal not just a power connection, every little bit matters.

Agreed. I don't trust those crimp deals for anything. For that I'd be extra sure it' bulletproof.

Always. Soldering and shrink tubing go together like peas and carrots. that's what Forrest Gump told me.
