it says that your ecu will relearn over the next 50 WARM UP CYCLES... does this mean starts, or a more extended period of running, i wondered aloud... then people started to stare...

You could also just pull off the front o2 sensor and clean the powder coated crud off it as they work by taking a temp reading by the amount of oxygen flowing over the sensor so no crud would make a difference on the reading no ?

Maybe it will last a few more years who knows...

Ive never heard of cleaning 02 sensors...Does this actually work and what would you clean it with, I would assume something thats not too volatile...

Found some sensors from rockAUTO for under 30$, I can only find upstream sensors though. Is it worth replacing the other one?

I`m under the impression carb & brake cleaner evaporate so why not ether ? just as long as you give it time to evaporate before you put it back on...

I just brushed off the powder coat that was on my front O2 sensor I was`nt to sure at the time what would be safe so I can`t say for sure it`s safe maybe someone could chime and with there 2 cents.
Maybe just hold a small flame to it to burn off what left after it been sitting for 10 min ?

These pic`s are after I cleaned it sorry but you can see from the pic`s the small amount of crud at the bottom rim of the sensor casing, there was alot of that covering the casing and was most likely blocking the air flow to the sensor inside.

My cat looks nice and clean though...
