Default Obd driving me crazy !!!!!

1995 xj, 2 wheel drive, auto.

What does the OBD1 connector look like?

I have found numerous connectors under the dash (drivers side) not connected to anything, one of them is factory mounted to the console so I thought that was the obd1 connector, but then I read online and found a pic of a L shaped, 6 conductor comming off the ECU in the engine compartment next to the air box, I do have that exact same connector and mine is a march 1995 so it probably OBD1

Is this the obd1 connector? and What could the one mounted on the side of the console be?
Thanks.

The OBDI connector is under the hood by the PCM.

Do you have a reader that works for OBDI? OBDII readers won't work. Are you familiar with the "key-on, key-off" technique for Jeep OBDI? Here's how.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Retrieving OBD codes on the Jeep Cherokee (XJ) OBD1 Models: 1991-1995

1) Start engine (if possible). Move transmission shift lever
through all positions, ending in Park. Turn A/C switch on and then off
(if equipped).

2) Turn engine off. Without starting engine again, turn
ignition on, off, on, off and on within 5 seconds. Record 2-digit
fault codes as displayed by flashing MIL.

3) For example, fault code 23 is displayed as flash, flash,
4-second pause, flash, flash, flash. After a slightly longer pause,
other codes stored are displayed in numerical order. When MIL begins
to flash fault codes, it cannot be stopped. Start over if count is
lost.

NOTE: A "5-5" will always occur to signal the end of the sequence. Some will flash the "1-2" code indicating a recent battery disconnect even if you haven't done it. Ignore these two codes, and mark down all others.

I know obd1 and 2 are not compatible, just wondering where the correct connector is because I have several unused connectors and online searches say its under the hood, under the dash, near the coolant overflow or some for the grand cherokee and mixing them up...
I just did the check engine light thing, the only code I get is 12, battery disconnected recently... LOL.

So is it the L shaped, 6 conductor next to the air box coming right off the computer?

Thanks guys.
