Will a obd1 scanner work on a 90 xj? My jeep has a lot of issues and I would like to know what they are instead of guessing.

1990 was still the Renix engine computer, so no. You don't have the connector under the dash to connect the scanner.

Nope on the OBD1. You need a mt2500. See my YouTube video below;
