OE motor mounts or aftermarket on a 91?

Excellent choice with the Brown Dog mounts........................They are probably bomb-proof!
The great thing about the OE mounts on the XJ (besides being so inexpensive) is that they have a built-in limiting strap...............
When they eventually fail, the engine mount bolt (with sleeve) just clunks up against the top strap..................and the engine isn't really allowed to move very far......................
Mine failed a year ago...................at about 170,000 miles......(I've been doing moderate wheeling with it the last 3 years )
At the time I couldn't afford Brown Dogs (I really wanted to) so I went with a slightly cheaper solution (around $49 for the pair)
They are a lot more durable than the factory ones, but they do require a bit more work to install......... (You have to pry apart your old ones, and cut/grind the rubber off)
The inserts just get put in, and put back together using the factory shells.....
Bolted in, just like the factory ones...........
There is only a very slight increase in engine vibration at idle/in gear..........Otherwise, no additional vibration while driving down the road..........

O'Reillys doesn't sell OE (Mopar) parts, they sell aftermarket parts
It was like that for my Brown Dogs too, but the rubber will break in after a month or so
You should get the OE trans mount and replace it too. Think it cost me $15 from the dealer

OE is original equipment and yes Orielly does sell that. In all reality I don't think the Mopar ones (OEM) would've held up any better. My trans mount is new
