Default OEM hitch installation

I purchased an OEM hitch for my 96 cherokee. It didn't come with the mounting hardware. Does anyone know the thread and length of bolts I will need? I'm getting sick of buying random bolts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

did it come with the steel bracket strips? the hitch mounting points sandwitch to the rear frame.

I found it locally on Craigslist I paid 65 for it nearly no rust, and it had the wiring with it.

I'll get a picture up as soon as I can to see if that helps. The previous owner said it just bolts up to holes in the frame rails.

Installing them is PITA.

Since its unibody you have to fish the nuts into the rail, its sucks. I remembered removing mine to install longer shackles and using fishing line and a coat hanger to fish them through.

I installed my bother in laws on a newer model and same thing. I just found random bolts, nuts, and washers in my bolt bucket to install his.

Good times.

ok so its the same way GM mounted there front tow hooks on s10s with a nut strip that you feed threw the opening and then bolt it. I think I'll do the carriage bolts if my nut stirp is rusted with my old hitch.
