Motor Mounts 2000 XJ 2.5
My stock Cherokee XJ SE 2.5 has round motor mounts and I haven't seen that shown in the service manual or on any of the parts sites I've gone to online. The dealership also shows the Triangular shaped mounts (even though those are a discontinued item).
Has anyone else ever had a 2000 Cherokee with round motor mounts? I've seen reference to these types on Grand Cherokees.
I don't care what shape they are; I'm just concerned that the mounting hole pattern fits whatever I'd end up buying.
Speaking of that, some triangular mounts that are said to fit this model jeep have the two bottom bolts directly under the rubber and others have one under the rubber and the other is a tab outside of the rubber. This seems like it would be off center so I wonder how that works when you are fitting it up to the engine. It wouldn't seem that both would work so I'm not sure what I'm missing. Unless one is for the right side and the other is for the left side.
