I assume that an engine that should have the temp open at such a lower temp that "overheating" would also be low. Based on how the thermostat works fail safe mode can only be a certain amount of spring travel after it opens, however much that is. 45 degrees I think?

......and that's why I think a so-called "fail safe" stat is a joke dreamed up by marketing/advertising people.

It has a good bit of weight to it... def more than the Stant (not saying its a huge deal, but usually a bit more weight means more to the product which hopefully entails some quality). Jiggle valve is present as is shown, but the only bit I can assume is a pre-release valve is the opening seems to have a double seam of sorts... like two valves built into one maybe...

We shall see. No install until Christmas/Day After. I will report back.

So is the valve hole a larger diameter (flange narrower) in order to increase flow? If not, seems like 3 braces would be more restrictive to flow than 2 braces, no?

I concur. I think 'High Flow' is more of a feel good phrase lol.

Went to the dealer today, picked up a new Mopar thermostat. Looks like I got an older one before they switched to MotoRad, as it says 2011 and made in Mexico on the box.

Those are the ones I used. The AC suffix. Work great.
