I don't know if they use the same materials when they make tires for USA as for Europe. I've heard that Pirelli are also good from Asia forums but here in Greece are used only for pasengers cars. The B/F from what i know here in Greece are very good for cars like Suzuki wich are no heavy, or for cars like Toyota L/C or cherokee KJ. For the XJ we use most COOPER and some G/Y.
Exports must be different then Obelix because the BFGs are a long lasting stable compound tire here and the G/Y is a softer less long lasting tire on larger vehicles and are poorly suited to XJs but good for pickups which are empty most of the time.

Can I be a wise *** and tell them I'll take the wanranty on one tire?
And when they ask why I'm gonna ask how the hell do you know which one of the 4 blew out?

Townfair tried to tell me they "Have" to put new vavle stems in because if they didn't they were breaking the law. I asked them to cite the CT DMV law and they could not so he offered to "give" them to me.
I asked if he thought the rubber was better than the brass valve stems I have and he shut up.

At Pepboys I bought 4 of those 4 for $99 Cornell tires. 2 years in 2 were cracking and they replaced them no charge and 5 years later all 4 are still on the truck.

They stopped selling them! ):

ha ha i got away with getting one tire with road hazard my buddy has a tire changer so i just bought 3 tires left put them in my car came back and got one more and said its my spare. their kinda slow.

Hey have any of you guys ever asked for blems?
I used to ask Sears for blems all the time. They don't tell you they have them but it's what they and other dealers give you when they waranty a tire.

Most of the time the "blem" is one of the white letters is crooked or not fully white.
Same waranty and alot cheaper. $129 tire down to $80 the last time I did this.

"blems" also include tires that have non-uniformity which means they may require a ton of weights to balance them

I replaced my Bridgestone Revos with Pirelli Scorpions. The Revos only lasted 32,000 mi in the 110 F heat here in Arizona. The Scorpions are tougher and cheaper to boot.

Yeah and as I mentioned they have the same warranty.
I did forget to add Sears did not put blem on the ticket so if it is that bad take it back and complain.

As far as weights I have yet to find any of these young kids who know how to balance a tire the RIGHT WAY and divide the weight by 3.
