Off Road Lights, where to buy them
I want to mount some off road lights on my roof rack. Anyone have any suggestions on where to find some good lights at a decent price?
Also, how do you bring the wire from the lights into the your jeep?

For up top most people around grab some wally world lights, they arent bad and if you catch one on a tree or something you wont get upset because they wont put you back a whole lot.

BAJA lights from Walmart are $20 a pair and work great. Pull your driverside roof rail off and drill a hole in the roof where the rail will cover it . Then silicone the crap out of it . Remount the rail and your good to go. Did it to mine and works awesome. I recommend going with 4 lights(2 kits). I tried 2 lights and it looked like mickey mouse. 4 looks much better.

Use a trailer plug so you can disconnect them and remove them if it becomes neccesary. Wally World lights get the job done. I have some on my pickup but have Hellas and KCs on my Cherokee.

Yeah the BAJA's are the way to go. stock there okay. I used the stock wiring and wasn't pleased so i just rewired with 10ga and 25 amp fuses. Check my thread out theres more info there. And there are more pictures as well.

Baja Lights do get the job done. But if you don't mind spending a little extra you can go with the Hella 500's. I've seen some in local AutoZones so depending on your location you maybe can pick up a pair from there. They're right at $80 for a pair.

Walmart sells Hella 500 for 60$ a pair, but thats to much to have one ripped off when offroading. get three pairs for 60 and put four forward and two as reverse lights. Oh and in that picture I have the 2 stock Hella's on my grill and 4 modified BAJA's on my roof. just a comparison.

I had the Baja lights for about two months. They looked decent and performed pretty good. But after only 3 trips through the woods with them on the entire time, the bulbs died. I can't vouch for the life of these bulbs, so I went with another cheap pair of lights, but a different brand; Pilot. They've performed when I needed them the most and they are pretty bright, plus I think they look a little better than Bajas. They sell them at AutoZone too. As far as wiring goes I just mount the lights where I want them then run the wiring through the firewall, putting the rocker switch as desired. And I made sure I wire-tied all of my wires to something to avoid being ripped (since I don't have a tranny skid), and to avoid my fan.
