Default Not necessarily Tires

Not necessarily new tires, but I would take them to have them all spin balanced. Ask them up front to check for any bent Wheels or out of round Tires. They are normally happy to take the time and do this for you.

It is worth the cost to completely rule out a Tire or Wheel problem before throwing parts at the vehicle.

I have a rear tire on mine with a flat spot on it right now, I know it's there and what it is. But seriously, It is doing the same thing you are describing, steering, braking and all.

Default Another thought?

Have you looked at the brake rotors real close? I had similar problems when I had a "hot spot" on one of my rotors. Tried to figure out what caused the hot spot and remembered that I had hit a half full Soda Bottle about a week prior. Hit it with the left Tire and it had spayed over onto the right Rotor. The Sugar in the Soda cooked a Hot Spot onto the Rotor surface after a few days of City Braking. It was causing the Pads and Caliper to drag just a little bit everytime it came around. It drug quite a bit more when braking.

Just another experience to share concerning the issue you describe

I had that issue on my 98 SE and when kept in the 55 range it would DW.
I got new tires balanced had the truck alligned and stabalizer replaced and it went away for over two years now.

Having the same issue on my new 98 Limited, however it has mismatched tires with one about to go out and some worn bushings and leaky stabalizer.
Which I will replace this week after the new tires arrive from discount.

This photo helped alot when diagnosing my DW and wobble issues. Just grab all these parts and move them around and if you get any play, tighten it or replace it/bushing. If you replace anything it's good idea to get alligment afterwards.
