So i bought my 91 cherokee limited stock and everything works fine besides a few minor things that don't matter too much. it'd just be nice to have it working.
the first thing that has been bugging me since day 1 is that my overhead temp/compass doesn't work at all. it just shows a black screen when it's plugged in.
I was wondering if there's a way i could fix this or if they sell them somewhere at a low price. i've been checking junkyards but all the XJ's SHOULD have the console, but they're usually gone by the time i get there too.

I have read that it is a common problem with these, so let me know if it's a lost cause and i should just get over it.

i've tried searching for other threads about this but i couldn't find anything besides how to install a console on a different model.

One of the lil capacitor is probably burned out. One of mines burned out and I replaced it with a junkyard unit.
