Anyone else notice?
Anyone else notice from the photo how "Clean" it is where the filter seal and adapter mating area is? Looks to me like oil might be "washing" all the dirt off right in that area. Loose filter? two seals mating by accident? Filter distortion from being over tightened?

Rule that out then :)
As clean as it is right there though it looks like the source is right in that area. Like mentioned already probably the adapter O-rings and it is leaking down onto the top of the filter from behind

Another thing I've noticed it oil comes from somewhere and hits my exhaust and creates a giant cloud of smoke if I leave my jeep in drive for long highway drives at like 70-80 but if I put it in 3 then it doesn't but it sucks gas in 3 and i don't get why it smokes in drive. It seems like when under load it blows oil or something but when revved high with less load it's fine?
