We could dig up the gory details, the cut-away pics, the constitution issues, and specs each time someone asks. Pete, you wanna put together something on your site?
Marty, maybe think of it like a cheeseburger. They pretty much look alike. They will all fit in your mouth. Some have soy patties and stuff that is not really cheese. They do that to save a buck, make a yacht payment off Chinese labor. Then some have less fillers in the patty and some portion of something resembling cheese.

There are plenty of comparisons on the internet. Wix is always on top and Fram close to the bottom.
I'm at the point that I don't care any more if someone wants to use crappy filters.

There's a small handful of people that really want to know what's going on inside that tin can..
There is actually a Napa gold, silver too.

For me, there are Napa's everywhere, and an oil filter is not on the list of where I might want to save $2.

Napa Silver line is designed for 3500 mile oil changes. Still made by Wix and very inexpensive.

I've been meaning to do this mod, but Rockauto had such a good deal on Mobile1 filters (for the renix) that I stocked up. It'll be a little while before I really need to do this.
