Early 4.0s use 3 separate o-rings which are sold individually.
33002970, 33002971, 33002972.
Later 4.0s use a set available from the dealer. In either case, you shouldn't spend more than $10 or so for the CORRECT parts to insure you do this job only once. Coat the o-rings with fresh oil upon installation. No need for gooping a ****load, or any RTV/sealer/whatever on them.

MAN!! you guys are funny!! i can't believe seven pages of setup for a punchline like that! 20 minutes start to finish!! y'all had me worried! too funny!!
okay seriously, it took me four times longer to read through this thread than it did to do the repair, but here's my findings:
I had a T60 from great neck that i most likely bought at oreilly, and it JUST fit in there with my NAPA 3/8 ratchet.
I DID take the OP sensor wires loose, but left the OP sensor, motor mount, bolts and everything else in place. I wiggled my ratchet and socket in there, took the handle off my floor jack and put QUITE A BIT of pressure on it, and she just rolled loose, no violent snap or break loose event.
AND NOW, for the rest of the story! I think the earlier models might be a little tighter ???? Mine is a 2000 with 98,000 miles gasket was pretty hard and flat.. but aside from that, seriously done in less that 30 minutes
but in all fairness, i used to be a mechanic... and i've worked on everything from 20cc weedeaters to 140 liter Detroit quad turbo diesels

I decided to change my adapter O rings last weekend, well I guess I decided over a year ago when I bought the O ring kit but have been procrastinating on how successful I would be in breaking the bolt free.
I drove around for about 10 minutes to get everything warmed up then drained the oil. I was lucky. I used a 22mm wrench as a cheater bar and with a effort was able to break the bold free easily.
Entire process was under two hours, no more leak!

T60 not fitting
Supposedly my oil filter adapter should take a T60 socket to loosen. Just bought one and it's too small.
Any suggestions??

Yeah it's a torx bolt. I squeezed my phone down in there and got a pic of the inerds. I've seen a couple posts here saying that their 93s took a 9/16 allen. Largest I have is 3/8ths. The torx bolt mouth is larger than a T60 will fill.

Would have been a good idea to share the pic with us...
