oil filter adapter help
I got the new o-rings to fix my oil filter adapter leak. There wasnt enough room to put the t-60 socket with the 3/8 socket wrench . How are you guys taking it off while its in the truck? I beat out the torex part and put a 10mm wrench on the end of it. with some leverage of another wrench i put a lot of muscle on it and the 10 mm craftsman wrench broke at the box end. I figured it wasnt going to happen, so i tried to tighten it back up with another wrench . I started the truck up but now its constant dripping , i must of broken the torex bolt loose . Anyone have any better ideas on how to get it off? Also can anyone confirm if it is standard clock wise to tighten it or is it left handed threads?
Thanks
Thanks

Threads are standard rotation..... I cut the end of the torx bit off and welded that to a piece of flatbar to get mine out.... makes for a long flat handle to clear the frame.
Ive heard of other people taking off the motor mounts to move the engine over and gain room for the tool to fit.

This is what we made. I got the socket from auto zone (T-60) and cut half of the back end off for enough clearance . Dont throw it in water to cool it after welding. It made it weaker , the first one we made snapped with ease. This one in the pic we just let it cool on its own, I put the wrench on it and another to double up the wrenches for leverage. I got it loose the first try. I hope this helps anyone else get the job done.
