Call and ask to talk to the parts department.

 

Any small parts, such as o-rings, bushings, etc., or any sensors, such as Crank Sensor, Cam Sensor, Throttle Body Sensor, etc...buy all of that from Mopar at your stealership. You will pay less and get OEM parts for the small stuff. The sensors will cost you a little bit more, but replacement frequency will be greatly diminished. Trust me.

Another question, what is the best way to get the oil filter adapter off? I cannot seem to be able to remove it because of the car frame being right in the way and the bolt at an awkward angle. I have seen some people make their own tools also...anyway how do I get this thing removed...

 

Do search on Google and put the word "Cherokee" at the end.

There are a couple good step by steps on different forums.

Those will help more than any of us could by just typing it out.

I got mine off with a long ratchet and socket. I can't remember if it's 9/16 or 5/8.

 

I've got to replace these on my renix 88 4.0. Got leak from the top of the seal between block & adapter. Apparently there are 3 o-rings: 2 for the bolt & 1 larger ring to seal adapter to block. The larger one is not usually carried by parts stores around here. Do the horizontal adapters found on newer 4.0's fit on a renix block? Same o-rings?

 

Did you go from the underside of the jeep or in the top of the engine bay?
