I couldn't care less about Carfax as most of my vehicles go to the shredder when I'm done with them, unless someone wants them for parts. I did sell my wife's Caravan to a college student though.

You know it for a fact? I can't verify it without paying for a report, but when I look at service records, I see what I entered and what shops entered, so assume I'll see both in a report.

Yes, seems like you're correct, what I enter will not be in the report https://support.carfax.com/article/c...rfax-car-care/.

Only reason I know is because I have two accounts. One for personal vehicles and one for cars I'm looking at buying that I wanna see the service history on. So if I put one of my personal VINs into the second account all of the DIY stuff I've added doesn't show up.

Very likely you could go 10K.

Thanks, guy. All I needed was another viewpoint from someone I trust.

Best if you had a lab test at 5K, and maybe another at 10K.
I found out I was changing the oil too often on my Cat engines. With test results from the lab, we easily went from 7500 to 10,000.

Changed the adapter seals today. All went well. The pin didn't appear to be misaligned, but now I am able to fit a Wix 51085 but still kinda doubt I'll be able to fit a 51515, we shall see at the next oil change though.
Thanks again!

OK so it has been awhile since I owned the '96 but pretty sure it took the same filter as my '00.
A Napa Gold 1085. Which is just a rebranded Wix 51085.
And you couldn't fit one before ?
