If you want, go to your local napa and get a napa silver for a couple bucks cheaper, or a napa gold for about the same price. The napa silver is the same thing, just cheaper. The gold is about the same price as the mopar, but a better filter.
I always heard it was made by the lowest bidder. Sometimes Fram, most the time Purolator?

Royal purple is hella expensive, like 10 bucks a quart but I think it's worth it
Royal purple is synthetic, right? seems like I have heard people say the 4.0 doesn't like synthetics.

Any reason why you should run an oversized oil filter? I've ran fram for about 9 months but I'm about to switch to wix or napa silver or gold. Haven't had any real problems but id rather switch before its to late.

What the hell this is a wtf moment of my life so, far so here it goes.

Last night
I go into Autozone to make an exchange for a bosch oil filter and the dude said test results say that fram is one of the leading filters, I still didnt want to believe this and was still skeptical after reading and watching many videos, but i ended up just walking out with the same fram filter.

Today
At autozone around 4pm I get the same response but I get the exchange done anyway.

Later on today
I put the whole 5.28qts of oil and i still needed more because I tilted the jeep to get all the oil out I used as a flush so I went got my oil and was at the counter and the guy said you will save a dollar or so by buying the oil with the filter, he comes back and hands me the fram tough guard that i returned earlier today what kind crap is that...fram is so crappy I basically got a fram oil filter for free and i still dont even want it because of the things i hear.

I use MOPAR oil filters. They are the best in my opinion. I mean even if u pay 10 bucks for a filter it beats replacing an engine.

I would just say next oilr change you could change to Bosch,Mobile1,Motorcraft,WIK or Napa like other people said which i also realize anything but Fram and i would add stp they are made similarly to Fram filters.
