Got it done today.
I guess I applied, oh, about 200-250 pounds of force on that damn torx bolt. It may or may not have been the happiest day of my life when it finally broke loose but it definitely ranked up there with signing my DD-214 and finding out the kid wasn't mine.
Hope my leak is fixed! Besides the big gasket being pretty flat, they didn't look too bad.

No Way man. How bad is it? Are we talking about gushers or what? I'm sorry but that does not compute. RMS twice is too many times already. Check and recheck your last rework. You must've focked-up! Are you sure you cleared that roll pin into the relief before you seated the adapter on the final snug?

Well ... first of all, when I was looking at it ... it would seem that for this to be anyone's problem oil would have to leak out of that main (big) O-ring and onto the top of the oil pan ledge, then run to the back. All of that was dry on mine.
Second, all of my O-rings were intact, just the biggest one was a little flat.
The drip seems to be getting worse since I originally started hunting it around November. Back then I would only need to add about a quart per oil change. Now I am getting close to a quart per tank of gas.
My drip comes from between the flywheel cover and the transmission. I had seen some people say that oil from the filter adapter could get in the housing via the starter and come out there but so does the RMS. After two RMS jobs, I thought it had to be something else.
I have already done the valve cover as well.
This only leaks when the engine is running. Do RMS do that when they leak?
