LOL. I'm an Oil Filter brand *****. Only Wix or Mobile One. I used to use a Fram on my old 97 2WD and noticed a 8-10 psi difference when I switched. Never again will I use a Fram.

I had a issue a while back where my jeep was puking about a qt a day. It turned out to be the oil pressure sensor it was puking out from where the wires come out and running down the side of my engine block and from first glance I thought it was my rear main lol

Alright, I got the O rings from the jeep dealer ship they cost about 10.75, not bad at all, I just had the o rings put in I whipped the excess oil from the transmission now I will wait to see if it leaks in a few days. So far I am not seeing any oil, I want to say thanks to everyone who replied to my post and helped me out, you guys really know your jeeps. ( now here comes my 6.5 rough country lift kit long arm)

It is possible to make your XJ to where it has no leaks. It will be a little pricy, unless you know a good mechanic. I replaced the valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, oil pressure sending unit, and now the O-rings in the oil adapter. My XJ has not leaked. It cost me about 400-600 for all the parts and labor, but in my opinion it is worth it. It bugs the hell out of me when I see and smell oil leaks.

I was told by my uncle that even if you replace the oil filter adapter seals that it would start leaking again within a few months so I just got rid of the filter adapter and put a NAPA gold 1348 filter on it. So just in case anyone needs that part number.

Uncle is wrong. Your filter will hit the engine mount bracket and leak more than any oil filter adapter seal ever imagined doing..............

Why would the engineers have done it the way they did if your way woulda worked? Carry a spare oil filter and oil on the trail.

Well he's been working on these things for a while and he has a pretty nicely built XJ out in california (Exo-cage, Chop- top, and plenty of other mods) so I wasn't going to argue with him. From the threads I researched it says that filter is slightly smaller than a full size regular one so I guess we'll see what happens when the motors in. Worst case I can just put the adapter back on.
