oil leak still occuring!!

Default oil leak still occuring!!

hey everyone see what ya think???.. got 94 cherokee
and i started to notice a slight oil leak and within almost yr since i got it the leak got worse.. hotter the jeep gets worse it is.. so on wknd changed out the oil filter adapter kit the 3 o -rings. still leaking, this past wknd changed out the rear main seal along with the oil pan gasket... leak still happening ... it it possible i pinched the gasket or what i mean cuz im pretty good with engine work im just getting tired of f-ing with it... what you all think?

Did you get all the old gasket off?Check the back side of the valve cover to.

ya man i scrapped it good everything is off.. im guessing i did pintch on back side cuz it starts leaking steady after turning on the engine.. so i am assuming its the oil pan gasket

i was taught that you may need to replace your oil pan bolt and the o-ring or washer on the bolt and your leak should stop.

its not coming from there it coming from back end of the oil pan the lip by the trany dust pan its leaking steady from there now im just gonna take oil pan off again snd check it out prob end buying another gasket unless still good

Check your valve cover first.

my 93 had a slow oil leak, turned out to be my valve cover was a little loose, the bolts were so loose i got almost a full twist on the bolts haha...its easy to overlook things i guess

lol ya ill have to check out again just just got aggravated on my back few hours didnt wanna tare it off again that wknd.. although 6.5 in of lift help let my pig *** under there ha ha

make sure its not coming from out of the oil pan from anywhere but it could be your oil filter housing. My cherokee leaked like crazy whenever it ran and i changed everything else. Turns out it was the o-rings inside the filter housing. Its pretty easy to do. just pull it off and take it apart. Your jeep dealership should have a filter housing rebuild kit for around 15 bucks. Put the new o-rings in, reasemble it and u should be good to go!

ya o already changer that to man the 3 o rings thanks anyways..im gonna check the valve cover bolts and then got to the oil pan gasket again lets see

If you take off the oil pan to recheck that gasket, recheck that rear main seal while you're in there. Sometimes you're in a hurry and it gets messed up the first time.
