Default oil pan and fire

I decided that instead of spending another day or 10 years trying to separate the oil pan from the block, i'm just going to set the jeep on fire.

Got the marshmallows? I got the chocolate and graham crackers.

Oil pan might be stuck on with rtv. Try a paint scraper and hammer, if you havent already. Is the engine out of the vehicle, and is it lifted? If its in the vehicle and not lifted, you will likely have to reach into the pan once its down some to undo the oil pump as it sits low. What have you tried so far?

EEEEEEWWWWW Motor oil flavored smores

Make sure all the oil pan bolts are removed and use a broad wood chisel. Drive it in and it will separate

Jack stands, jack that sucker up high on the axle, place jack stands on your frame rails, then lower the axle it will create a big space to work, or shove wood and gasoline..whatever you decide lol

It just seems like there is no gasket left. i can barely get anything in the space to smack a scraper between the pan and block.

This may help.. If you can get the small edge in, then you have some leverage to pry the pan off.

Day 3. We are running out of recourses. Ricardo decided to run off into the forest and we herd screams. I managed to find a paint scraper buried in an ancient indigenous tomb. Slowly making progress.

I have a small pry bar, about 6" long that I use to bust those things off. The paint scrapers work ok but having a thicker tip (yep I said it) with the pry bar tends to help open it up better. Once you get a gap going, stick a screw driver in there to hold it open and move on to another location a couple inches away. Starting at the front of the pan seems to work best. If not, please do post a video of the future camp fire.

Might delay the fire. I got a mouthful of rust and oil when the pan popped off. Now I guess I’m at the actual hard part. Do you guys take the steering stabilizer off ?
