oil pressure
got no reading at the gauge, but oil flow up to the rockers, with the fill cap off I can see it coming out the push rod , filling the pivot.runs and sounds same as always.I tried a new sender with same result.I did not see any oil coming out the thread when I changed the sender, this I did not like. The filter is also filling with oil, because I checked that also. I also changed the oil and filter.which I always do anyway.

Next step: Make sure the oil tract is not plugged up - a careful poking with a long pointed gismo of your choice and then screw on a manual oil pressure gauge and report back.

Verify, Verify, Verify!!! Like Kalali said install a mechanical pressure gauge to see what kind of pressure you actually have. Also like Kalali said check the little ports the that go to the pressure sending unit and make sure that they are not plugged.

Also, what brand sending unit did you get? If you got one from auto zone or advanced auto, there is a good chance that it just won't work. Been there, done that.

The oil sending unit on the 4.0 are really not very accurate and any of the after market ones are much worse. The OEM do read much better then the after market ones.

Mine was replaced by the PO, gauge reads from 70 to 80 when running. LOL Proof that the aftermarkets are S-H-I-T. I'll replace it eventually but for now as long as it moves I know I have pressure.

I'm sorry but with all the newbs tonight asking questions I couldn't resist. Please don't attempt the above just get a stiff wire and see if you can push it in there and clean the passage out. You could pop the coil wire off then with the sender out and tap the key a few times to see if you get any oil shooting out of the hole after you (sorry for saying ) "probe it". If you get a good shot out the hole you should be good other than maybe a bad sending unit.
