Oil pressure
Hi guys.
Hope you all can help please.
Ive noticed over a couple of days that my oil pressure has started to move between 3-5 bar (its a UK model and 5 bar is the max the gauge goes to) which is about 45-75 PSI is think. Is this normal because its been sitting around 3 bar for the past year since ive got it.
Cheers
Andy

It's most likely the oil pressure sending unit (sensor). Reading high is a failure mode of these, and usually when this happens it also won't read "0" on the gauge when the engine is off.

A good rule of thumb is that when oil pressure problems are suspected always check with a mechanical gauge to get a true reading.
