Speaking of oil filters...

I just got all new fluids for free and a Pennzoil oil filter was thrown on. Are those any good for the 4.0?

And sorry for the hijack

Don't be sorry. You'll be sorrier using that POS Pennzoil filter.

Just for future reference Napa Gold filters are Wix filters with just a different number. In case you have a Napa close by.

That isn't any closer either. The area is flooded with autozones then a few advance and 1 napa/oreilly within 15 miles.

I just looked at the local Autozone web catalog and they show two pumps. Both Melling (good pumps). One is a standard pump, sold without a pick up screen and the other is a high volume pump that comes with a pickup screen, but not attached.

If the pump you bought came with a pickup screen it must have been the high volume pump...correct? And you installed the pickup screen on the pump...right?

And the oil pan you bought was designed for the high volume pump...right? Or was it a standard oil pan?

Yeah I bought the one with the pickup and the pan was the dorman pan because the other one was garbage I heard. Not sure if it was for the high volume or not.
