Oil pressure gauges and temp gauges
I am restoring a1988 jeep Cherokee and I want to put gauges for oil press and temp. On that note can I take the panel from a 1991 Cherokee that has oil press gauges, tachometer and temp gauge and put it in my Cherokee without having to change the harness?

Pretty sure, no. ( But not positive) Lot's changed there. You want a gauge cluster from 87-90 I think will work. Note that I just saw a very late (9) 90, at a JY, that was not a Renix. (4 bolt throttle body, no bottle, standard Radiator)
Do note you will need to change the senders going from light's to gauges. The temp one is the one top rear in the head, not the engine temp sensor down on the left side of the block. I have one of each and don't mind the light's a bit. As long as they are off!

Thanks for the advise. I will find another way to get the readings, maybe an aftermarket gauges somewhere else in the dashboard.

A cluster swap would be easier. Changing those sensors is a snap. Try to get Moper OEM, because they are more likely to work correctly out of the box.

Junkyard 88 to 90 cluster. Grab the temp sender and oil pressure sender. Very simple.
