you should be good, no idea why a rotor would give you that much trouble ha.

Thought I posted this... maybe it was one of your other threads.... I would try using a pair of needle nose pliers to equally pry on both side of the rotor lip at the same time...and use the handle as leverage against the side of the dizzy. put something under it to give you more leverage if you need it. and pry up. If it's been on there for a long time, could just have a bit of build up under it. shouldn't but anything's possible. They should fit tight but I've never had one that impossible to get back off.

I tried what you recommended. Then I tried cracking it with a hammer and screw driver. It still wont come off. I think I'm just going to replace the whole distributer

When you removed the whole dizzy to prime the pump, you marked everything right? If that button won't come out, slide that dizzy back out and work it with it out. Have you tried gently with a screwdriver work around the bottom, turning and working with it GENTLY! I can't believe your having a hard time. Mine just slid out easy peasy

I replaced the whole distributer. Car turned on and I got oil pressure! However I must have not tightened the distributer cap screws enough. The cap was bouncing around while engine was running. Didnt fall off though. Do I need to remove the cap and check everything again or just snug down the screws?
