Oil pressure ?s

^ the oil filter is definitely not related...
have someone jiggle the connector on the oil pressure sending unit while you watch the gauge. I bet you it'll raise. That connector has issues with its contacts. Mine does it occasionally.

This is on my '91, your may be slightly different since you have the gauge and i have the low oil pressure idiot light but its the same concept. Its the little thing shaped like a stop sign to the left of the distributor, thats where your sending unit threads in to.

At the base of the goldish colored sending unit (the part you removed the wire from) there is a place where you can put a wrench on, its probably 7/16 or 1/2. Just turn it out like your removing a bolt and replace it with a new one. It probably wouldnt hurt to put a little teflon tape on the threads either. Like what somebody said before, go with an OEM part from chrysler or else the gauge might not be accurate.

Well it would be easier to access from the top, if you really need to you could remove a few plug wires from the distributor so the wrench dont get stuck in them. Just make sure you dont mix up the firing order
