Oil pressure went to 0

Ok so i just want to go over the plan step by step again to confirm everything before i tear into this. I cannot afford a new oil pump. Ive got 150 dollars left so at the least i can buy a new pickup screen and buy the gear kit to rebuild the oil pump if i have too. Cheaper that way anyways. Ok onto the plan.
I will remove the valve cover and gasket. I bought b-12 chem tool carb cleaner.
I will remove each rocker arm and the push rod and spray it all with b12 and clean the crap off of them and sprayd own the holes of the push rods. Clean the springs off and try to rinse as much of the gunk into the oil right now. Put fresh oil on and in the rockers and the push rods
Replace the valve cover and then at this point drain the oil and remove the oil filter. I will put compressed air in the hole beneathe the threaded nipple to try and blow clean the mesh filter using the highest pressure my air compressor can handle which is 100psi. Only a 1 gallon tank so i will do it in quick bursts and long bursts while monitoring my pressure.
At this point i will remove the oil pan and clean any extra debris and crap out. I am not doing rear main seal because i dont feel confident enough to mess with it without breaking something else. I plan to remove the oil pump and inspect it for any further clogs or obvious damage and clean and repair as needed.
From there it is reassembly and i got 5 quarts of rotella t3 and a quart of marvel mystery oil.
That is my plan of action? Any ammendments?

So i pulled the valve cover. Oil is pretty dirty for only 40 miles on it but not as thick as i was expecting so thats good. I pulled out what i could with a syringe and started to get real cold. Noticed i forgot to grab my b-12 chem tool out of my sisters vehicle so i used brake cleaner instead going to let it soak on the rockers for tonight and then pull the rockers and push rods tomorrow to clean them out and resume the process. Heres some pics to show the damage thus far.

Hope you have some source of heat while doing this job. How cold is it there? It was below zero here in Pa. this morning!

Take your time. I'd do one rocker at a time clean it. Clean the push rod. Make sure they go back where they came from. IF your plan is to let the cleaner run down onto the lifters/cam buy some type of cheap oil and POUR over everything and just let it run out the drain hole. Cleaner is gonna strip the protective lubricant off and you want to protect whats not been killed. A couple quarts of oil is cheap insurance at this point. I wish you the best. Many others would have just put it on Craigslist and given up.

My garage is uninsulated and does not have heat but it was around 38-40 last night. But pouring down rain. Got wet and cold and decided it was bed time around 3 am. =)
And grandpa that was the plan. 1 at a time to get everything nice and clean. I mean look at that oil. 40 miles and its as dirty as if it had 5000. Thank you everyone for your help and advice.

Oh quick thought here should i spray some cleaner down through the hole in the oil filter before i put compressed air through it? Try and help loosen chunks?

Quick update here guys. Ive got 6 of the 12 rocker arms cleanish. Enough that im satisfied. When im putting the push rods down into the holes though theyre clogging back up a bit. Is there any way i can tell if theyre seated properly? Im worried now that im not doing this right. Ive only been finger tightening the rocker arms. I know they need to be torqued to a specific pound...yadda yadda got a few beers in me. GOnna get back to cleaning ill post pictures later when ive finished. =)

Whoa!! Make sure you can blow through the pushrods!! 19 ft/lbs is the torque on the rockers BTW.

Shine a light down the hole and you'll see a lifter there with a spot in the middle for the pushrod.

The pushrods sit in half round saddles, similar to the pockets in the underside of the rockers. If crud got down in where the pushrods seat, you'll have to get it out. With compressed air and a small long tube, you might be able to blow out the chunks of crud. Hang in there, we're hoping the best for ya!

After you get the top end reassembled check the oil flow to the rockers before installing the rocker cover. See pic.
Build a dam around the rockers with bits of cardboard, and stuff rags between the firewall and the end of the head.
Start engine and let it idle while you look at each rocker oiling. You can rev the engine a bit to see if the oil flow increases but watch out it will squirt all over the place.
If you don't get oil flow at idle, the lifter(s) are plugged, or the push rod(s) are plugged.
