One GIANT thread
Ok I don't want to be that annoying noob who makes repeat threads, asking same or similar questions that have been asked a million times before... I also don't want to make a million different threads, but I have a million questions.
Would it be possible .. or acceptable by my fellow Jeepers, if I just made one thread and lumped all my problems together?
Now, in order to make this thread stay here and remain "on topic", i'll bring up my first question/issue.
Lighting. Does anyone have any problems with their headlights not being bright enough to light the roads at night?
Question: Shouldn't my control panel for the AC/Heat light up along with the rest of the dash? It remains dark while everything else is nice n bright.
< I don't get the meaning of this smiley, but I really wanted to use it.

i though my lights were bad... like i would rive with my brights and no one would flash me... then i realized that my lift lifted the back a little more than the front... so i had to re-angle them and now they are 1000x times better... there are HIDs if its still not good enough

I also thought my headlights were somewhat deficient.
As it turns out, just needed new ones. The old ones were so scratched up, light had trouble finding it's way thru
So, new ones, the standard sylvania 10 dollar specials, made a huge diffefence.

I'm looking into putting some fog lights back on, it's just a matter of learning how to do it myself.
That's my biggest problem. I'll be doing as much work as I can on my own, and I'm completely clueless, lol. It could be disastrous.

To be honest, I browse / post from work. I don't have the net where I live...way out in the woods.. so I really don't have the time to search hundreds of threads in hopes I can find the issue I'm having. And I don't want to steal another persons threads when I ask a multitude of my own questions..

Remove your dash bezel and four screws on your climate control to get to the bulb on the back of the panel.
Look into "H4 Conversion Kits" for the Cherokee to drastically improve your headlight output. Also consider upgrading the harness for the headlights. They are notorious for being too small gauge of wire.
Hope this link works: http://www.4wd.com/jeep-parts.aspx?c...d=402&plID=930

Getting new plain jane sylvania $10 sealed beams made a good difference for me. You may need to re-aim them as improperly aimed headlights are almost worthless. Next upgrade from that would be to get some H4 housings and bulbs. Next would be a high quality wiring harness in place of what's there now. And ofcourse getting auxiliary lighting always works.

Yea my lights are WAYYYY off track. The right one focuses right on the center of the lane, and the left one is blinding the oncoming traffic. I think the new ones I just installed were Sylvanias. They don't seem much brighter =( I definitely need to re-aim them.
