Ooops... sorry, my bad!

To answer your post, yes... Exhaust Manifolds on Jeeps typically tend to crack at the Collector when the Motor Mounts begin to wear-out.

Honestly, if no hundred dollar bills are visible, you should be okay...

However, replacing at least the drivers side Motor Mount is suggested...

that build up is not from the valvecover leaking into the gasket...the oil build up is from the pvc system...

And the fuel vapor left in the intake after the engine is shut down. Not the manifold gaskets. If oil was leaking past, then you would have had a major vacuum leak too.

yeah I agree its mostly from the pcv system dunping that hot oily nasty air back into the intake, I hate that on cars. Bmws dont do it like that, and on my eclipse I added valve cover filters and capped the intake holes off. Then got pulled over for it smoking....

But anyway, I know my motor mounts are bad and I already ordered some new ones from summit racing, so theres a good chance my exhaust manifold is cracked? Anyone know of a good aftermarket manifold that isnt too expensive?

yeah, that makes sense. although there was a trail of oil from the leaking valve cover to the gasket and into two intake ports. and the other four ports had some oil.

got the headers from www.ineedparts.com
cleaned the head ports and the manifold. i can't say i feel much of a difference though. the only difference i saw was that when i give it gas on the highway the mpg indicator dips down to 15 mpg instead of 11-12 like before. i think i hit 14 for like a second.
