Yes, I was able to pry off the shock with a pipe against the axle.
It was REALLY on there, and the rubber bushings are melted.
The brake line was constantly getting in the way, I hope I didn't pinch or damage it.
There was nothing nearly to tie the shock to.
I was able to remove the 2nd bolt by holding the shock aside with 1 hand,
and using the impact wrench in the other.
I can't even imagine trying to do this job without an impact.
I tried to clean up the weld nut threads and I have new bolts.
I think they are the same pitch.
Here is my next question.
The lower shock bolt has this mangled sleeve on it.
It may be petrified rubber?
Is this supposed to be here, or is it supposed to be just a smooth bolt?
Do I try to cut it away, or try to lube and wrestle the bushing over it?

YES!!! 5 hours later....
I used the impact wrench to screw on the lower nut, and hand tightened the upper bolts.
I have no idea how tight it should be, so I used the lowest setting on my impact wrench.
The bushing squeezed out a little, just like on the original.
I may try passenger side later tonight.
How hard is the passenger's side with the exhaust in the way?
Huge thanks to prcherokee, salad, roninofako, and highmileage
I'm VERY VERY psyched to one to get under my belt.
Been waiting over a year to get this one done.
Got it done just in time for Yoga class!!!
