The MAP sensor is up on the firewall, a little left of center looking forward. It has a small tube comes forward that plugs into the base of the throttle body on the engine side.

Cruiser, or anyone. Can the MAP get man. vac. from anywhere? My line disintegrated today.

Sort of a cross between a lawn mower and a toaster. It's on a bracket that sticks out from the firewall. It's up high....And thanks cruiser.

I still have loads to learn...I've seen that the MAP is important for fuel mixture. Check wikipedia, that's one place that explains it.

If this thing sat for that long ,do a compression test ,to see if the engine is sound.

Big time. Stay focused on finding it. Can someone post up an engine bay photo for cearp?

See the green? That's it there. The tube came straight toward the camera, into the engine side of the throttle body.

Default Broken MAP tube Broken.

Wish I could! Until then...On the engine side of the throttle body there is a rubber plug with two holes, it goes in the lower. If the little tube snapped off in there it can be extracted.

The other end goes up to a nipple on the inner side of the MAP sensor. You can just see it to the left of the green connector in the photo ABOVE /\ /\. Your tube might look like the little pieces you see here.
