Ok. So I got dumb and DID not take any pics of the install sorry but I can tell you this....I found the coun in a 99 XJ and took the harness as well. The harness runs down the pass side pillar to a spot above the fuse box. Easy to access. Wen I went to remove said parts all I took with me was basic socket set, cordless drill, and channel locks. The harness has two plugs, one to the fuse panel (for the dome light) and the other to the jeep wire harness unplug both. DON'T CUT!! The 99 harness is a 7 pin plug where my 2000 is a 6 pin. To remedy this I just cut the plugs and matched the colors of the wires (maybe wrong to some SORRY!). The light plug to the fuse panel was the same so that was plug and go. The one BIG prob I had was the removal of the pillar trim in my jeep, I broke it so take your time and it will come off fine. When done, feed new harness thru the headliner, match up wires(trust me ALL wires areinthe harness)plug in the counsel and ALL functions will work! OH YAH one more thing.......wen at the jy getting your parts don't forget to get the temp sensor as well. It is behind the front bumper. If you take your time and DON'T rush it will be a clean factory looking install. THE pink Lady

Congrats ..and thanks for the describing the process of the install...A couple of questions...

Where does the temp sensor plug in?....

How did you feed the harness from the pillar to the console?

One more...If you didn't have the harness...besides being a royal pain...do you think it would be possible to wire it up without it...

Thanks...
