Mine was leaking fluid outta the cap and I just bent the two tabs on it inward slightly so the cap would screw on tighter

Do you have the old closed cooling system with the plastic tank and no actual cap on the radiator? If so check the actual tank for any warpage. I was having similar issues. I bought a new plastic tank and cap and still had issues. I eventually just gave up with my closed coolinnhg system, and went with a new 3 core radiator.

If you payed shipping I could send you my old tank. I used it for about 2 month then then swapped out my system. I'll give you the cap and tank for the cost of shipping. Let me know.

Howdy. Is it over-heating?

One supper quick head gasket test is to power/brake it with the cap off and see if it bubbles/geysers. Bubbles will show easier if it's full-full, but since the bottle works as an expansion tank you want to run it with it 1/2 full. Heck, if you've been filling it to the top, that might be your problem.

I'm not saying I think it's your gasket, just, that takes all of 45 seconds!

Just noticed the thread title! Yea, do that little test. Any extra steam, oil look OK?

I heard that you can build up a huge air bubble in the closed cooling system and you have to somehow burp the system. You may have better luck replacing the components to an open system.
